Other Side of the Tracks // Santa Barbara Pt. II

You know that old saying "it's not the destination but the journey"? Well, that saying definitely applies to the morning these photos were taken.  We spent about an hour winding through the quiet streets of suburban Montecito searching for Blenders, the holy grail of smoothies when it comes to Santa Barbara smoothie consumption. Our plan A went south (finding a route under the freeway) and we had to back track another couple miles for plan B (going around and over the freeway bridge). On our journey back home to the hotel, (with an epic Tropical Guava smoothie in hand!) we realized if we had just continued down the road, we would have come across these tracks and then a tunnel crossing through the highway just beyond them. Sure it was a long hike, but with a beach front view of unreal multi-million-dollar homes, I had no objection to the hike. And later on, the site made for some pretty cool pictures, eh?
